Women's High Tech Coalition is pleased to announce we will once again be helping Best Buy sponsor two interns working in a bipartisan manner with individual member offices on Capitol Hill this summer. The objective of this program is to support college students who have a strong interest and background in the high-tech arena and would greatly benefit from observing how policy is developed in Washington in the regulatory and legislative areas.

A founding principle of the Women’s High Tech Coalition was to further the interaction of the high-tech industry and policy developers in Washington. The benefits to both sides, the technology industry from understanding how Washington’s process works in developing policy, as well as the opportunity for the industry to have input into the development of that policy, are significant.

WHTC is proud to be in a position to support such mutual understanding leading to stronger and less costly public policy. We are grateful for the support of our sponsor Best Buy for its foresight in financing such a program. We are also grateful to the Members of Congress working with WHTC in order to facilitate this most important endeavor. Finally, we thank our membership for believing in this as a priority for WHTC.

We are working with our partners to implement this program and will make award announcements soon. Please check back for updates on this exciting program! We will be introducing and featuring these interns at an upcoming WHTC event. Please come meet them!

The Women's High Tech Coalition will keep you informed of all of our events and initiatives.
