Document Submission Guidelines: Please submit ONE (1) document containing BOTH your resume and the 600-word essay. Acceptable document formats are Microsoft Word (.doc) and Adobe PDF (.pdf). Maximum file size is 5 MB. Name your document like this: Last_First.doc or Last_First.pdf. Include Last Name, followed by an Underscore, then First Name. DO NOT name your document MyResume.doc, since it will be overwritten by somebody else's document called MyResume.doc. DO NOT include SPACES in document names. If you have a space the document may not upload properly. Use the underscore "_" key instead. If your document is not formatted or uploaded correctly your application will not be considered. Welcome! We are pleased to offer The Geek Squad Academy - Women's High Tech Coalition Internship program, sponsored by Best Buy, Geek Squad and the Women's High Tech Coalition.

This program provides college students the opportunity to work within a Congressional Office during the year. Winning applicants also receive a cash stipend.

The exact Program Dates are determined by the academic session selected, the applicant's chosen time commitment and availability within the Congressional Office.

DIRECTIONS:

A resume and writing sample are required. Your essay should be approximately 600 words and describe your interest in pursuing a career in public policy and science and/or technology.

HINT: Have your resume and 600-word essay already written and saved in a single document before you fill out the application, and be sure to follow all of the guidelines for naming and uploading your document.

The deadline for submitting the application varies depending on the Academic Semester selected. Please refer to the Program Description for program dates and deadlines. Winners will be notified in advance so that they may make travel arrangements.
